Chic Zen

Originally, the color scheme is very unbalanced [dark reds and browns versus soft pink]. Therefore, the traditional furniture and the colors doesn’t compliment each other. However, the space had a great potential to look fabulous due to functional floor plan and natural light.

Our goal was to transform the traditional space into dreamy yet modern look with balanced color scheme and details subtly reminiscent of Asia which inspire us in our designs, BRANA designs says.

We went for soft pastel colors, lots of woods and simplicity that are main part of the zen elements. Hence the name Chic Zen!

We maintained some of the original components of the space, like the soft-arched wall entrances and beautified the room by using minimalist murals with a natural theme. Replacing the French windows and doors with single glass ones was one of the major turns for the room, because the space could show its true colors.

Urban Fairytale

Originally the space had Californian 1980’s ranch design with lots of brown shades and awkward dormer roof. The space was large but poorly planned. It also include 2 separate fireplaces which is unnecessary to have in one room.

The goal was to transform the original Californian 1980’s ranch design into happy, lively and functional space with an exotic theme.

Once we were done, we had to call this project Urban Fairytale for its connection between modern world and nature, both fauna and flora that inspires us in our designs, BRANA designs says.

The exclusive Giraffe sculpture is a one of a kind lighting statement. For FF&E we went for lots of natural materials like rattan, Calacatta marble, linen, glass, and many others. We kept the color scheme light but contrasted with bright colors. The murals and wood treatments on the walls truly beautified the space, gave it a warm yet fresh feel, and even complimented the original dormer roof. Also instead of 2 separate fireplaces, we redesigned in a single modern see through fireplace. Check out the “before” images at the end of the gallery to see the difference!

When we started the project it had very dated traditional look and style from the early 90’s. It had less than optimal floor plan and available build-able square footage.

We redesigned the traditional look from early 90’s into our signature Organic Contemporary style. In this instance our clients prioritized light color scheme and high quality furniture. The space had originally only 2-Bedrooms due to poor usage of space. We optimized the space and used available additional square footage resulting in a spacious 4-Bedroom with ample light in a contemporary open floor plan. Check out the photos before and after!
